Pricing, estimates, and timelines

How does the estimate process work?
Most projects start with our online Project Estimator. You answer a few questions, we review your information, and then follow up with next steps and ballpark ranges where possible.
From there we can walk the project in person, refine the scope, and move toward a detailed proposal.
How long will my project take?
Timing depends on project size, design decisions, permits, and material lead times.

Once we know your scope, we’ll give a realistic timeline as part of your proposal.
Can you work within a specific budget range?

Do you offer free estimates?
Yes. Initial estimates are free. More detailed planning or design work may be handled as a separate step if your project requires it.
Permits, inspections, and living in the home
Do you handle permits and inspections?
Yes. For permitted work, we coordinate with the city or county, handle permit applications, and schedule required inspections as part of the project scope.
Can we stay in the home during the project?
For many remodels, you can stay in the home, but there will be dust, noise, and limited access to certain rooms. For larger projects or major systems work, we may recommend temporary housing for part of the schedule.
How do you keep the job site clean and safe?
We use basic dust control, daily clean-up, and clear walk paths where possible. On larger projects, we’ll review safety and access with you before work starts so you know what to expect.
Who will I communicate with during the project?
You’ll have a main point of contact on the WD-4D Builders team. We’ll outline this during the proposal and keep communication clear through your preferred channels.
